TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF BOOKINGS

 

 

CANCELLATIONS:

Where cancellations are made by the Makeup Artist due to circumstances including, but not limited to, health, family, weather, transport problems and any other circumstances beyond the control of the Makeup Artist, rendering the Makeup Artist’s performance impossible, and where no other suitable alternative can be offered, a full refund will be given to the Client. No further compensation will be offered.

 

Where possible, all reasonable attempts will be made by the makeup artist to provide recommendations and contact details for a replacement makeup artist. Any agreement between the Client and replacement makeup artist will be considered a separate and private booking between the two parties. The Makeup Artist will not enter into any negotiation or responsibilities, on behalf of the Client, regarding fees and payments and cannot guarantee availability of any recommended replacement makeup artists.

 

INSURANCE:

Makeup Creations carries public liability insurance with Salon Gold.  A copy of our insurance certificate can be provided on request. 

 

 

ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS:

Adverse weather conditions may sometimes pose a health and safety risk, or prevent the Makeup Artist performing successfully.  Because of this, in the event of adverse weather conditions, we reserve the right to alter or cancel the booking.  Wherever possible, a more suitable date, time and location will be agreed with the Client. Where adverse weather conditions result in a booking being cancelled by the Makeup Artist, a full refund will be given. No further compensation will be offered.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY:
The client may cancel or alter the date and/or time of a booking up to 48 hours before a booking commences.  Any booking cancelled or altered with less than 48 hours notice will be charged in full and at the previously agreed rate.

 

WEDDINGS:It is strongly advised that you take out insurance to cover yourself against the above situations.

 

CLIENT DELAYS AND LATE CANCELLATIONS:

In the event of a booking being delayed or cancelled due to the Client’s failure to attend or adhere to the agreed date(s) and/or time(s) of the booking, whether due to problems with access, facilities, organisation or any other matter specified in the production brief, or due to any matters outside of the control of the client, we reserve the right to charge the previously agreed rate in full and for any additional costs which may arise. No refund or credit will be given in respect of time or costs associated with the original delayed or cancelled booking date(s).

 

 

PAYMENT TERMS:

Production Bookings:

Our payment terms are strictly 30 days from the date of invoice. Payment of expenses, such as products, travel and accommodation may require a faster payment, which will be agreed with the Client in advance.

Wedding, Special Occasion, Face Painting Event Bookings:

Our payment terms require that either a minimum deposit or balance in full must be paid at the time of booking. Any outstanding balance due must be paid on the day of the booking/event.

Payment can be cash, bank transfer or pay pal and invoices will be issued prior to the booking for confirmation and agreement of overall service.

Payment of expenses, such as products, travel and accommodation may require a faster payment, which will be agreed with the Client in advance.

 

Weddings; Any additional people added without agreeing prior to event will be charged at full rate.

The makeup artist has the right to turn down additional parties if this causes delays on further bookings that day.

 

Face Painting:Any additional people added without agreeing prior to event will be charged a fee per person depending on the time difference after the agreed time.

Over time will be charged half the hourly rate at 30 minutes over the agreed time and full hourly rate at 60 minutes over the agreed time.

The makeup artist has the right to turn down additional people if this causes delays on further bookings that day.

We reserve the right to charge further interest and late payment fees on all overdue invoices, as set out under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act, 1998. E & OE.  If we are not paid according to our credit terms, we will exercise our statutory right to claim interest and compensation for debt recovery costs under the late payment legislation.  The Client shall be responsible for all necessary collection or legal fees.

 

All Terms and Conditions stated within this document are deemed acceptable to the Client upon receipt of a confirmed order, booking or instruction to proceed, given by any means.  This document shall be taken as an agreement between the Client and Makeup Creations - Laura Tallentire under UK law.
